Sam was born and raised in the Silicon Valley, where he discovered his passion for acting. He then moved to LA to study philosophy and psychology at UCLA, which had little to do with acting. After college, he studied at Anthony Meindl's Actor Workshop, and improv at prestigious institutions such as The Groundlings and UCB.
